Well known hacked Marcan, who played a part in hacking the PS3, has found out the clock speeds of the Wii U. It’s surprising how slow it is, and I’m actually having troubles even thinking Nintendo went with something like that. It’s a well known fact that the PS3 Cell and Xbox 360 Xenon run at 3.0 GHZ each per core, but the Wii U CPU runs at 1.243125 GHz per core.

“It’s a Three PowerPC 750 type cores (similar to Wii’s Broadway, but more cache),” tweeted Marcan.

Expect it before 15th December

Ubisoft has a plenty of Wii U titles available on launch with the likes of ZombiU, Assassin’s Creed III and Rabbids Land to name a few. Rayman Legends unfortunately didn’t make it into the launch line up and is now penned in for an early 2013 release. To alleviate some of the woes, Ubisoft was due to make a demo available on the Wii U eShop for fans to get at least some of their Rayman fix on launch day, though at the time of writing it's yet to arrive.

Wii U has a DDR3 RAM which is something you normally find in desktop systems. Why is that bad? Because a console is supposed to have a long life and things like these can get really crippling after some point in time.

However, it is being reported that the system has 2GB RAM in total, which is quite good.
